Timesaver and more family time!

Walmart grocery pickup is seriously the best thing ever! Being a mom and working full-time who has time to load the kiddos up and head to the grocery store and spend over an hour shopping?!… and then go out to the car (here lately in the pouring down rain bc it only rains on the weekends here in GA…kidding) load the groceries into your car and drive home to only have to unload the groceries one more time to carry them inside the house. Once I read an article that said by the time you go grocery shopping you have touched one item at least 5 times! Yes…5 times!? You have to pick it off the shelf to put it in the buggy, take it to check-out to pay, load it in your car, carry in your house, and put it away! SO why do we spend our valuable time at the grocery store when there is others willing to do this for us. Before Walmart grocery pick up my family would spend half of the day on Sunday’s just grocery shopping! Thankfully we now spend less then an hour going to pick it up and coming home to put it away. If you have not tried Walmart grocery you are missing out!

WW = a new us

On feburary 18th my husband and I started a new journey together. A journey that would hopefully be life changing. This journey is called weight watchers. Most people look at weight watchers as a “diet plan” to lose weight. 99% of the time when most do a “diet plan” they begin to gain their weight back as soon as they reach their goals. To us weight watchers isn’t a “diet plan” weight watchers was an eye opener for the both of us.
Weight watchers allows you to track your food and every item has points …some even have zero points! Based on your gender, height, weight, and activity level the program calculates points for each member based on their goal of weight loss or to maintain. Generally males get more points then females (which still isn’t fair) one glazed krispy kreme donut is 7 points! YES 7 points! Well when you’re only allowed 25 points in a day that’s one of my meals (and we all know you can’t just eat one donut)…but if you’re a male you get more points!? Blake gets 49 points…so that one donut could be a snack for him and still get a meal!
After being on this journey together we’ve realized all the bad processed foods we once ate what they were doing to our body. We both stayed tired and sluggish 24/7. Instead of eating that one donut for 7 points…we now grab a bag of 53 pretzel sticks (4 points), a string cheese (1 point), unsweeten applesauce (0 points), or fruit (0 points). So far weight watchers has been very successful for us! I’m down 14 pounds and Blake is down 20 pounds. If anyone is looking into starting weight watchers and has any questions feel free to comment. Weight Watchers isn’t a diet plan it is a lifestyle plan! If we can do it…you can do it!
